This piece is painted with metal acrylic and patina, embellished with fine line work and pastels on canvas. It has a great deal of texture, and is an impressive piece of work. It is framed in a walnut with gold floater frame.
Expressive figure in watercolor. The artwork has been affixed to a 1.5 deep wood panel with the sides painted black. It is coated with UV protective varnish and sealed so the work does not need to be framed under glass. It is wired on the back and arrives, "ready to hang".
This is one of those times when I feel like this one is finished, even tho it is a very minimal work. Acrylic, charcoal, collage
Artwork is on paper that has been bonded to a wood cradle with sides painted black. This piece began with a charcoal sketch, acrylic glazes and textural collage patches added. it is wired on the back ready to hang.
Composition was inspired by a charcoal sketch done in a life drawing workshop. It’s interesting to see the way light plays around the human form and I try to capture this in my work. This work is on Gallery Wrap Canvas with sides painted, so you won’t need to frame it. Wired on back, ready to hang.
I'm always challenged by watercolors. When I first started painting, it was in oil, then later Acrylics. Getting my head (and paint bushes) around controlling color and values is so different from working with opaque paints. But here goes. This portrait is on 140# paper and I plan to seal the painting and coat with UV protective varnish so that it can be affixed to a wood paned with no framing required.
This is another in the Metamorphosis series, characterized by the warm colors accented by deep green, copper, and stamping. This is a large painting, 72" tall. It has a deep box of 2.5" . The sides are very well finished, and no frame is needed. The Entity has the light of the Creator touching the shoulder, and the light of the Creator also enters in the descending golden squares. Energy seems to surround the Entity, flowing from the spiral at top right. Confianza means confidence in Spanish.
One of the Mystique series, this painting has the hearts, descending foiled squares, deep burnt orange, and golds. The hearts float lazily in the ethers, keeping company with hazy planets as the Entity looks on. There are 2 dragonflies, a butterfly, and several hearts that are hidden in the painting to add to the fun. It is a happy, fun painting suitable for a large space in today's homes or offices. The painting is well finished with 2.5 " sides, no need to frame. The source for this painting is the first thing I see in the morning. It is a small ceramic statue sitting on my dresser top, and there is a framed painting of the "yin yang" symbol on the wall beside it creating a positive vision to start the day. Painting is on a wood cradle with sides painted black; it's wired on the back ready to hag without a frame
This work is done with very heavy texture that give the look of stone. Accented by turquoise and copper, the piece has a center womb-like section housing the Entity,, a copper light of the Creator, and dark, shadowy figures in another world, A large shimmery dragonfly is to the right, with the spiral and triskelion also on on the painting.
