I love the layers of colors in this piece the background depth reminds me of outer space. The forward projectile is like a Rocket on a trajectory to earth, flaming hot.
Hot and cold. A dichotomy of temperatures, feelings, actions? Long buried underground, suddenly bursting forth with an intensity that scalds and flames, leaving a landscape that is forever changed.
This piece is all done in black white and tones of greys. Streaks and curves and angles. The beast versus the architecture. Incongruous or coordination?

This piece evokes hot winds across an alien landscape. One would expect a desert or dunes, but instead we see craggy rocks and boulders. 15.5"x19.5" Oil Pastel on Paper/Available Click HERE for more info. Cool flowing colors with swirling shapes from grey peachy thru pink berry and into almost steel blue. I just love the cool tones with all the flow and movement!
The layers of turquoise and magenta suggests layers, perhaps energy or life within the substratum of the earth.
