She is one of the three figures I did in this pose.

I decided she needed a friend.

This pose came from a black and white photo I found in

a New York Times magazine.  It was the image of a fashion

designer from the 1940s.  Her outfit was one you could wear

today and I chose to embellish the flats and add socks.

This is the first of three I did with the same pose and size.

My Friend Sue

I loved the pose and just had fun painting Sue.

Why Sue?  It's the red hair.  I had a friend growing up

with beautiful bright red hair and her name was Sue.  

Fun was her middle name (not to mention trouble),

so red hair will always be fun for me.

father a little more abstract, even letting some of the canvas
