Nancy's post modern dream.......

This painting started off as an experiment inspired by Helen Frankenthaller's "Lush Spring" at Phoenix Art Museum.  It's always been a favorite of mine.  The operative word here is "inspired".  Washing or dripping color with lots of turp on my brush is not comparable to a Frankenthaller.  My canvas was not raw, the paint did not soak in, it dripped like raindrops on a window.  At least that was what I was seeing.  A sunset raining on a little girl.  She enjoys the falling rain.... don't all kids.  Her fantasy is having dolphins jumping from puddle to puddle....over her arm like a trained dog....
The canvas is 36 x 24, gallery wrapped canvas...  Oil of course.
